I grew up where farming wasn’t a side hustle; it was the only hustle.
In the village where I was raised, almost everyone farmed. My parents were fully in it, season after season. And I? I was right there with them. As a boy, I didn’t really have a choice; the land called, and I answered. Every planting season came with its own lessons, and waiting for harvest taught me the biggest one: patience.
See, farming doesn’t rush.
You clear the land, plant your seed, and then… you wait.
Sometimes for weeks. Sometimes for months.
Sometimes with rain. Sometimes with silence.
But always — always — with hope.
That rhythm of planting and waiting shaped me. It forced me to fall in love with the process, not just the results. Farming wasn’t just work; it became the backbone of my hustle, the only way I could push forward and fund my own path to where I am now.
Even now, I still feel closest to myself when I’m around crops. I know how they grow. I know what they need. And more importantly, I know what people need; good, honest food that comes from the ground, not a shelf.
That’s why I turned my love for farming into business.
Not just to sell food, but to grow with people; to help them eat better, buy better, and trust where their food comes from.
So what did farming teach me about patience?
Everything.
It taught me that waiting isn’t wasted time. It’s part of the work.
And it taught me that anything worth harvesting; in life or business; takes time, care, and belief.
